Employability and Entrepreneurship

The Employability & Entrepreneurship Department at LAI is dedicated to empowering young people in North Macedonia with the skills, knowledge, and confidence to navigate the modern labor market and explore self-employment as a viable career path. In an era of rapid technological advancement and shifting economic landscapes, we recognize the importance of equipping youth with not only job-specific skills but also the entrepreneurial mindset needed to thrive in an increasingly competitive and dynamic environment.

Our work focuses on fostering a culture of innovation, creativity, and self-reliance by implementing programs that:

· Enhance Employability and Life Skills: We develop and deliver training sessions that equip participants with essential life and employability skills, including communication, problem-solving, teamwork, critical thinking, and adaptability. By integrating experiential learning techniques and real-world case studies, we ensure that young people can confidently transition from education to the workplace.

· Foster Entrepreneurial Thinking and Business Development: Our programs guide participants through the process of developing, launching, and managing a successful business. From crafting a business plan and conducting market research to understanding financial management and navigating legal frameworks, we aim to build the foundational knowledge that aspiring entrepreneurs need to turn their ideas into reality.

· Strengthen Digital and Technological Skills: In today’s digital economy, proficiency in digital tools and platforms is indispensable. We incorporate modules on digital marketing, e-commerce, and emerging technologies to help participants stay competitive and innovative. Special emphasis is placed on how digital tools can streamline operations, expand market reach, and support sustainable growth.

Our Approach:

We adopt a hands-on, inclusive approach by combining theoretical knowledge with practical application. Through activities like business idea competitions, internships with established companies, networking events, and cross-border collaborations, we create an environment where young people can test their ideas, learn from experienced professionals, and build valuable connections.

By developing programs that respond to current labor market demands and nurturing an entrepreneurial spirit, the Employability & Entrepreneurship Department aims to contribute to a more dynamic, resilient, and prosperous society. We believe that investing in youth today means investing in the country’s long-term economic growth and social well-being.
